Annual Sudbury Walk for Autism

Autism Ontario Sudbury & District Chapter presents the Annual Walk for Autism. The event will be held from 10 am-2pm. Pledge sheets can be obtained via email at sudburywalkforautism@live.ca. Along with the walk there will be many family activities, BBQ, prizes and more. All money raised will remain in the Sudbury Community. All are welcome to attend.

The Sudbury Pride Festival lasts for six days during the summertime. There are pre-pride week festivities in addition to the main pride week events. Some events include the parade, gender issue lectures, film night, a golf tournament and more.

Canadian Garlic Festival

The Canadian Garlic Festival was established in 1991 and is hosted by the Ukrainian Seniors in downtown Sudbury. The event runs for one day in the summer and offers garlic dishes done in a variety of ways including garlic desserts. The festival also hosts a number of local entertainers, children's entertainment, demonstrations and garlic vendors.

Also enjoy the Carnvial Midway, Family Stage, Shopper's Drug Mart Kid's Zone and Watersking Show. SummerFest takes place in late August each year.

All ages are welcome to enter and compete in the annual Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts. A professional adjudicator judges the entrees, which range from hip-hop dance and cheer leading to singing, folk dance and drama improvisation. The festival was originally founded as the Clare Festival in 1922, later it became known as the Sudbury Festival of Music, Speech and dance, and now it is called the Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts.
